George Hunter (footballer, born 1886)
George Hunter (1886 – 1934) was an English footballer who played as a half back.
==Club career==
Born in Peshawar, India, he played for Aston Villa, Oldham Athletic, and Chelsea in his early years. In March 1914, he was sold to Manchester United. He captained the side during the 1914–15 season and would stay with United until January 1915, when his contract was cancelled for a training ground incident.〔 He played for Croydon Common, Southampton, Brentford and Birmingham as a guest player during the First World War and finished his career with Portsmouth of the Southern League in the 1919–20 season.〔〔http://www.zen139857.zen.co.uk/HUNTER_George_H..pdf〕
